The following information is data I am collecting in an ongoing interviewing process with Dr. Dradorius. The dark doctor runs a vampire/monster museum called Gargoyle Manor. This is a delightful place, if you like things that lurk in the dark, memorabilia, or monsters in general. Please be patient with me as I try and put our interviews into a context that will be understood by most who wander through here. Through my religious background and research I understand what Dradorius tells me for the most part, but I know that some will not. Feel free to send any questions you might have to me @ Whitewolfmoon
Vampires
What is a vampire?
A vampire is many things. They are human, but only partially. All creatures of the night start out as being human. In the mythology of the vampire, once the humna part dies the vampire essense continues. They continue by being transformed by another vampire or thought it's birthright. That is what makes the vampire so terrifying to the human world. It was once human and therefore knows how humans think, behave, react and can blend into human society. No one can really say what a vampire truelly is. It is like explaining all the intricacies of what a human being is to an entity that has never met a human. Vampires are as varied as humans are. Vampires have history, tradition, folk lore and all the things that are necessary to make it an existing entity.
There is only one species of vampire, just in varying degrees of development. Most usually begin as a psi-vampire, then continue on their path of evolution. Like any creature, they begin as an "infant" and learn to do things by baby steps. Humans are born, nurse their mothers milk and eventually begin to eat more solid foods as they grow older. So the vampire beings as an energy drainging creature until it learns the techniques needed to survive.
How often do vampire REALLY have to feed?
They must feed roughly every 33 years, three times in a century. This is feeding on blood. They "snack" on the psi-energies in between those feedings.
How do vampires deal with the problems of todays society? Disease, Aids,
various medications and illegal drugs?
Since vampires only have to feed once every thrity-three years or so, it gives them the time to get to know key people. They can, in this time, discover any information that might make that person undesirable. Vampires CAN get diseases because they do have a human body. While they have a high metabolism and can regenerate/heal quickly, they are still suseptable to diseases that deteriorate the body. This is why such caution should be taken during "feeding times."
